Le Ministre des Mines, de l’Industrie et du Développement Technologique (ai) a instruit la mise sous scellés des locaux de la société REDDYS GLOBAL INDUSTRY. L’entreprise produit des boissons susceptibles de porter atteintes à la santé des consommateurs. Le professeur FUH CALISTUS GENTRY a précisé qu’il s’agit d’une opération qui va s’étendre à toutes les autres entreprises qui ne se conforment pas aux normes en vigueur. Le délai de deux mois annoncé ce jour sera sans appel.
Poursuivant sa visite de travail dans la région du Littoral, le Ministre de l’Industrie était également ce jeudi 20 mars dans les locaux de l’usine de Coca-Cola CRACEDOM BOTTLONG COMPAGNY CAMEROON S.A située à Kaké. Étendue sur une superficie de 8 hectares, la société portée par Mme Djakeline DONGMO, Directrice Générale est spécialisée dans la production et distribution des boissons gazeuses (Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta) ainsi que l’importation et distribution des spiritueux (Jonnie, Walker etc.).
Toujours dans le secteur de l’industrie agroalimentaire, le Pr FUH CALISTUS GENTRY a marqué un temps d’arrêt dans les locaux d’ELIM BEVERAGE AND FOOD S.A. l’usine de Francis NANA DJOMO le Directeur Général est spécialisé dans la production des jus naturels, le développement touristique. A cet effet, elle met sur le marché camerounais des Boissons Gazeuses, des Eaux minérales, des Boissons énergétiques ainsi que des jus de fruits.
Au cours des échanges entre le membre du Gouvernement et les responsables des dites entreprises, il était également question de trouver des solutions aux préoccupations soulevées telles que l’approvisionnement en énergie, l’approvisionnement en matière première etc. Le patron de l’Industrie camerounaise a tout d’abord salué l’implication des camerounais dans plusieurs sections ( agro-alimentaire, packaging, automobile etc). Toute chose qui atteste de l’implémentation de la politique d’import-substitution prônée par le Chef de l’État. Par la suite il a précisé que le MINMIDT répond présent pour accompagner ces sociétés à accroître leur potentiel en répondant favorablement à leurs sollicitations. D’ailleurs l’État a pris acte de toutes ces difficultés et des solutions à court et à moyen terme sont en vue.
Précisons que monsieur le Ministre était accompagné du Gouverneur de la région, du Préfet, du DG de l’ANOR, du Maire et de plusieurs autres personnalités.

Professor Fuh Calistus Gentry explained that this operation will be extended to all other companies that fail to comply with the applicable standards. The two-month deadline announced today will be final.
Continuing his working visit to the Littoral region, the Minister of Industry also visited the Coca-Cola CRACEDOM BOTTLONG COMPAGNY CAMEROON S.A factory in Kaké on Thursday, 20th March. Covering an area of 8 hectares, the company, led by Managing Director Djakeline Dongmo, specialises in the production and distribution of soft drinks (Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta) as well as the import and distribution of spirits (Johnnie Walker etc.).
Still within the agri-food industry sector, Professor Fuh Calistus Gentry also visited the premises of ELIM BEVERAGE AND FOOD S.A., a factory managed by Francis Nana Djomo, which specialises in the production of natural juices and tourism development. The company markets carbonated drinks, mineral waters, energy drinks, and fruit juices within Cameroon.
The discussions between the member of the government and the heads of these companies also focused on finding solutions to the concerns raised, such as energy supply, availability of raw materials, and more. The head of Cameroonian industry began by commending the involvement of Cameroonians across numerous sectors (agri-food, packaging, automotive, etc.), all of which reflect the successful implementation of the import-substitution policy advocated by the Head of State. He further stated that the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development (MINMIDT) is committed to supporting these companies in enhancing their potential by positively responding to their requests. Moreover, the government has taken note of all these challenges, and short- and medium-term solutions are on the way.
The Minister was accompanied by the Governor of the region, the Senior Divisional Officer, the Director General of ANOR, the Mayor, and several other prominent figures.
