Dans le cadre de la semaine d’éveil aux droits digitaux organisée par PROTEGE QV du 04 au 09 décembre 2023 et en prélude à la célébration de la Journée Mondiale des Droits de l’Homme (10 décembre), il est prévu d’organiser un concours de la meilleure illustration des droits digitaux. Ce concours contribuera à promouvoir une meilleure compréhension du concept « Droits digitaux » auprès du grand public, et éveiller l’attention au fait que les droits de l’homme en ligne doivent être respectés autant que les droits de l’homme hors ligne. Ce concours a une vocation uniquement de sensibilisation. Y participer implique une attitude loyale signifiant le respect absolu du règlement.
1. QUI PEUT PARTICIPER AU CONCOURS ?
Le concours est ouvert aux jeunes filles et aux jeunes garçons résidant au Cameroun, d’âge compris entre 18 et 30 ans. Il ne faut pas forcément être artiste de profession.
Pour participer au concours, il faut s’inscrire en envoyant un courriel (email) à l’adresse [email protected] avec en objet « Inscription au concours ». N’inscrivez rien dans le corps du message. En réponse à ce courriel, il vous sera envoyé un message avec le règlement du concours qui est précis sur les modalités de participation et de sélection.
2. QUELS SONT LES THEMES A ILLUSTRER ?
Les illustrations doivent représenter les trois (03) droits digitaux suivants, tels que définis par la Déclaration Africaine des Droits et des Libertés de l’Internet, à savoir :
la liberté de réunion et d’association et internet,
le droit à l’information sur internet,
la protection de la vie privée sur internet.
3. QUELLES SONT LES RÉCOMPENSES ?
Les trois meilleures illustrations seront récompensées comme suit :
1er Prix : cent mille (100 000) FCFA ;
2ème Prix : soixante-quinze mille (75 000) FCFA ;
3ème Prix : cinquante mille (50 000) FCFA.
De plus, ces trois meilleures illustrations seront imprimées sous forme d’affiches et utilisées pour sensibiliser et éveiller l’attention du public sur la protection des droits digitaux.
4. COMMENT SOUMETTRE LES ILLUSTRATIONS ?
Les soumissions devront être envoyées comme pièces jointes à l’adresse email suivante : [email protected] .
La participation est gratuite. Cependant, les frais d’envoi des soumissions sont à la charge des participants et ne seront pas remboursés ;
5. DATE LIMITE DE RECEVABILITE DES SOUMISSIONS
Toutes les soumissions doivent être envoyées au plus tard le 04 décembre 2023 à minuit.
6. PROCLAMATION DES RESULTATS
Les résultats seront disponibles le 09 décembre 2023 par voie de média et sur le site de PROTEGE QV (https://www.protegeqv.org/ ).
CONTEST FOR THE BEST ILLUSTRATION OF DIGITAL RIGHTS
CALL FOR COMPETITION
As part of the Digital Rights Awareness Week organised by PROTEGE QV from 04 to 09 December 2023 and as a prelude to the celebration of World Human Rights Day (10 December), a competition will be organised for the best illustration of digital rights. This competition will help to promote a better understanding of the concept of « Digital Rights » among the general public, and raise awareness of the fact that human rights must be respected both offline and online.
The sole purpose of this competition is to raise awareness. Taking part implies a loyal attitude, which means absolute respect for the rules.
1. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE ?
The competition is open to young men and women aged between 18 and 30 and resident in Cameroon. You do not need to be a professional artist.
To participate, you need to register by sending an email to the following address [email protected] with “Competition entry” in the subject line. Do not write anything in the body of the message. In reply to this email, you will be sent a message detailing the competition rules, and the selection procedures.
2. WHAT ARE THE THEMES TO BE ILLUSTRATED?
Illustrations must represent the following three (03) digital rights, as set out by the African Declaration on Internet Rights and Freedoms, namely:
The Freedom of Assembly and Association and the Internet ;
The Right to information on the Internet;
The Privacy and Personal Data Protection on the Internet.
3. WHAT ARE THE REWARDS ?
The three best illustrations will be rewarded as follows:
1stAward : One hundred thousand (100 000) FCFA ;
2ndAward : seventy five thousand (75 000) FCFA ;
3rd Award : Fifty thousand (50 000) FCFA.
In addition, the three best illustrations will be printed as posters and used to raise public awareness about digital rights protection and promotion.
4. HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ILLUSTRATIONS?
Submissions should be sent as attachments to the following email address: [email protected] .
Participation is free of charge. However, the cost of sending submissions are supported by the applicants and will not be reimbursed.;
5. DEADLINE FOR ACCEPTING ILLUSTRATIONS
All submissions must be sent/received no later than midnight on 04 December 2023.
6. RESULTS ANNOUNCEMENT
The results will be available on 09 December 2023 through the media and on the website of PROTEGE QV (https://www.protegeqv.org/ ).
